Edenbridge based Another Way Theatre are delighted to be bring theatre back to local audiences at the fabulous Arts & Social Centre in Chiddingstone Causeway. A new play ‘BETWEEN FRIENDS’ written by Carolyn Pertwee (Jon Pertwee’s niece) and Rosalind Adler will be performed at The Causeway Hall, Chiddingstone on Saturday 24th July (2.30pm & 7.30pm) and Sunday 25th July 2021 (5pm) with a bar provided by The Causeway Hall committee volunteers.
BETWEEN FRIENDS is set against a backdrop of terrorism, climate change and the onset of a deadly virus, but it is in a rural kitchen that the real drama unfolds. Helen (Nicky Chambers) married to broadcast journalist Paul (Chris Chambers) is surprised by an unexpected visit from an old friend Laura (Sarah Diamond) turning up in her kitchen one afternoon, unannounced, with some dramatic personal revelations. The hidden past comes to light and threatens all their futures. A true kitchen-sink soap opera on your doorstep.
“Funny, touching, beautifully observed, with a brilliant twist at the end of every scene… a constantly surprising roller coaster.” Giles Brandreth
