The last few years have been a tough time for the Royal British Legion Edenbridge branch but they are now delighted to share the good news that they are back up and running and are calling for new members.
The club had a difficult decision to make a few years ago – either sell some of the property it owned or go bust.
It was decided that part of the building would be sold to developers so that a new, smaller club headquarters could be built and our local British Legion could continue to have a presence in Edenbridge. The club had great support with the rebuilding of facilities and would like to thank Howdens for supplying all the kitchen fittings for free.
The bar still offers subsidised drinks to members and the popular pool table is now in a dedicated games room in the upstairs area.
As well as showing all the main Sky Sports matches on a big screen TV, there are club nights including bingo, darts and chess.
The club is open daily at lunchtimes and most evenings (excluding Tuesday and Thursday) and closes later on Saturdays and Sundays.
Of course the club relies on it’s membership in order to survive. Joining is simple – just pop into the club and ask for a membership form.
