Edenbridge Cricket Club is an ECB Clubmark accredited friendly, family orientated cricket club and has been in existence, in some shape or form, from the late nineteenth century.
The Club has been at Blossoms Park along Mill Hill since the early 1960’s where facilities are first class, both on and off the field. The new pavilion is available for hire at concessionary rates for members, having its own fully equipped bar and kitchen, and main club room equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment.
We are focussed upon working with the community of Edenbridge, developing relationships with local clubs and community groups like the local Brownies and Guides, the Town Council, hosting events such as the Hospital Fête and Gatliff Marathon.
We run two Saturday teams in the Sussex Cricket League, two T20 midweek teams, and a Sunday Academy XI. Midweek training and coaching uses our net facilities as well as the practice wickets on the main square. Senior winter indoor training takes place from February through to late March.
Our ever-growing junior section, run by ECB accredited coaches, offers cricket to girls and boys aged 8+, running U9, U12, and U14 teams. The ECB All-Stars programme returns in May for 5-8 years olds to introduce young players to cricket, and this summer we’ll be running our first ever Girls ECB Dynamos squad for 8–11 year olds.
We have a growing and successful ladies section playing softball cricket festivals and friendly matches, as well as taking part in the Sussex Cricket Foundation League and in the equivalent indoor league during the winter. Training and coaching takes place throughout the year, either at Blossoms Park or local indoor facilities during the winter. The ladies section is open to girls and ladies from Y8 upwards, and we emphasise a fun and social based approach for all ages and abilities, including complete novices, whilst still maintaining a competitive edge!
If you’re interested in joining any of our teams, want to visit the club socially or would like to hire the pavilion for your event, please get in touch via our website edenbridge.play-cricket.com or email hello@edenbridgecc.co.uk
