Councillor Alan Jowett

Former Cllr Alan Jowett

It was with great regret that Westerham Town Council bade farewell to Alan Jowett who resigned from the Council at its Annual Meeting in May.  He had represented the Crockham Hill Ward since September 2016.  A solicitor by profession, he brought his legal expertise and approach to all his work as a Councillor together with a sense of humour which stood him in good stead in dealing with some of the more arcane aspects of bureaucracy.  His practical and common sense approach to everything he dealt with was greatly appreciated by his colleagues and Council Officers.  He will be sorely missed both by them and by those whose interests he always had at heart, the residents of Westerham and Crockham Hill.

The process to co-opt a Councillor to take his place in representing Crockham Hill is in progress.
