Residing within the historic and unspoilt Hever Castle Estate, Hever Castle Golf & Wellbing provides a destination for all the family to discover respite and recreation in peaceful stunning surroundings whilst golfers can socialise and take exercise on the course.
Heritage
It was in the 1920s that golf first featured on the estate when a private 9 hole course was built for William Waldorf Astor’s personal enjoyment in the grounds where today’s Championship Course lies north of the Hever lakes. Hever golf course proved a valuable tool for the Astor’s to entertain friends, family and for business.
The original course survived until the Second World War when it was sadly abandoned during the War effort. However, the present-day Championship Course was created in 1992 and the Princes 9 Hole Course opened in 1998.
Investment
Over the years the club has seen a stream of constant investment which have elevated the courses and club facilities to compete with the best. Further exciting investments into the clubhouse and facilities are planned for 2021 and beyond.
